A Short History of The Texas German Society. The chapters are tied together state-wide with representation by each local president at the state executive committee meetings. State officers and directors are elected annually at the state convention by the whole body in attendance, and they meet two or three times a year to work with the hosts of the annual convention and the Christmas party and to deal with state-sponsored projects.

Sunday, July 19, 2015. Some of you may remember my photos of the Montague County ghost town of Belcherville. I finally had a chance to take a friend of mine on a ghost town expedition through Cooke County and Montague County over the weekend after returning to college in January, and since Belcherville was the first Texas ghost town I ever discovered, I had to put it on our itinerary.
